1. Khajuraho

Built in the Medieval century by the Chandela Dynasty, the UNESCO site of ‘Khajuraho Group of Monuments’ is famous for its Nagara-Style architecture and graceful sculptures of nayikas and deities. The splendor of the intricate statues is one of the reasons that makes it a popular site to visit among tourists. Khajuraho is worth a visit. 2. Bhedaghat

It is a mesmerizing experience to witness the marble rocks adjoining the graceful Narmada River in Bhedaghat, Jabalpur. The tranquil Narmada flows through high marble rocks and at a short distance, sited the remarkable spectacle of nature. Bhedaghat is the only place in Narmada river’s course of about 1312kms, where the river falls into a 30-meter deep gorge and flows in between marble rocks. It is a wonderful place. The marble rocks are spectacular and the boating experience was particularly memorable. Also, do visit the cruise at Bargi Dam not far away from Jabalpur (30 kms).The Bhedaghat falls of Narmada, near Jabalpur, was probably created during one such movement. The Narmada Valley is a graben, a layered block of the Earth’s crust that dropped down relative to the blocks on either side due to ancient spreading of the Earth’s crust.

3. Pachmarhi

If you love to experiment, Pachmarhi is definitely worth a trip. It is home to 65 breathtaking waterfalls and several other scenic places like Gupt Mahadev, Jata Shankar, and Chauragarh. 4. Gwalior

6. Omkareshwar

Omkareshwar Hill is known as A Sacred Hill Station. It is one of the sacred hill stations. It is also called “Mini Varanasi”. It is present between the River Narmada and Kaveri. Omkareshwar is home to one of the 12 jyotirlinga temples in the world. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple is nestled in the Omkar mountain, an island in the middle of River Narmada. The temple has a large sabha mandap (prayer hall) standing on 60 brown huge stone pillars. This place is at an excellent location.It is famous for Jyotirling temple.

7. Ujjain

It is one of the Hindu pilgrimage centers of Sapta Puri famous for the Kumbh Mela held there every 12 years. The famous temple of Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga is located in the center of the city. Ujjain continues to be an important place of pilgrimage for Shaivites, Vaishnavites and followers of Shakta. Best time to visit Ujjain is from October to March. 8. Indore

9. Bhopal

10. Bhimbetka

Bhimbetka rock art is considered oldest petroglyphs in the world, some of these similar to aboriginal rock art in Australia and the paleolithic Lascaux cave paintings in France. The Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka are open for visitors all through the week. Try to visit the exotic location before sunset as Bhimbetka cave timings are scheduled from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The best time of the year to visit Bhimbetka is the winter season, i.e. in between the months of October and April.

11. Mandu

12. Maheshwar

Maheshwar has been a center of handloom weaving since the 5th century. Maheshwar is the home of one of India’s finest handloom fabric traditions. It is noted as a center for weaving colorful Maheshwari sarees. It rose to popularity under the rule of strong maratha leader Queen Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar. 13. Patalpani Waterfall

Patalpani is known for the beautiful Patalpani waterfall with a height of approximately 300 feet situated on the Indore – Khandwa train route. Legend has it that the depth of the water is unknown and it goes as deep as the underground world (patal). This place is also a famous trekking spot. The area around Patalpani is a popular picnic and trekking spot. The water flow is highest immediately after the rainy season. During monsoon season (July-September), the area is prone to flash floods. The nearest railway station is Patalpani railway station (2 km) on the Mhow-Sanawad meter gauge route. Mhow Cantonment is the nearest town.



14. Jabalpur

Jabalpur is not only famous for its Marble Rocks and scenic charms but also as an industrial city of chowks (markets). It serves usefully as a launchpad for Madhya Pradesh’s famous tiger parks: Kanha, Bandhavgarh and Pench. Known as the cultural capital of Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur is one of the most important as well as developed cities in Madhya Pradesh. 15. Chanderi

Chanderi, is a town of historical importance in Ashoknagar District of the state Madhya Pradesh in India.Chanderi is surrounded by hills, lakes and forests and is spotted with several monuments of the Bundela Rajputs and Malwa sultans. It is famous for ancient Jain Temples.Chanderi is situated at a distance of 127 km from Shivpuri, 37 km from Lalitpur, 55 km from Ashok Nagar and about 46 km from Isagarh.  It is known for its quaint forts, hills and elegant hand-woven Chanderi sarees. 16. Hoshangabad

Hoshangabad district was part of the Nerbudda (Narmada) Division of the Central Provinces and Berar, which became the state of Madhya Bharat (later Madhya Pradesh) after India’s independence in 1947. The city is famous for its beautiful ghats along the banks of the Narmada River, Sethani ghat is a major attraction. Hoshangabad attracts tourists and visitors from far and wide. 17. Chhindwara

18. Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum

The Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum in Bhopal takes you on an immersive journey through the culture of the local tribes of the state. With large colorful displays, the museum shows the art, traditions, daily life, and customs of a large number of indigenous groups. This museum is not a mere display of artifacts and instruments, it is a living structure, an experience to be enjoyed. It displays the traditions and aesthetics of seven indigenous tribes–Gond, Bhil, Baiga, Kol, Korku, Sahariya, and Bhariya. 

19. Bee falls

Bee Fall is a popular water-fall located at Pachmarhi Hill Station in Madhya Pradesh state in Central India. It is named as such because from a distance the waterfall sounds like a bee. Bee Falls takes its name from bees since this place is famous for honey bees. Bee Falls, also known as Jamuna Pratap, are the most popular among these. They are the result of a perennial stream plunging down from a height of 35 meters, and also provide drinking water to Pachmarhi. Distance from the Pachmarhi Bus Stand: Around 3 KM to Apsara Vihar and then a 3 KM trek of going to the falls and coming back to Apsara Vihar.

20. Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple

Popular as one of the twelve jyotirlingas of Shiva, Shree Mahakaleshwar temple is a popular pilgrimage destination in the ancient city of Ujjain. It is built in five levels including an underground level. The temple has spacious courtyards. The shrine of Lord Shiva in the temple is believed to have formed on its own. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, shrines which are said to be the most sacred abodes of Shiva. It is located in the ancient city of Ujjain in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. It’s safe. It is possible to travel at night also.

21. Khajrana Ganesh Temple

Khajrana Ganesh Temple is a pilgrimage center in Indore in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh,India, dedicated to Ganesha. Built during the reign of Holkar dynasty. The temple is equally famous in India and abroad. The temple regularly receives money, gold, diamonds and other precious jewels in the form of donations. The eyes of the deity are made of diamonds which were donated by a businessman of Indore.Citizens of Indore city and other nearby cities have great faith in the Khajrana temple. This temple was made by Ahilyabai Holkar, the brave Maratha queen. This is an important place for Hindus. Indore is well connected to all other cities and towns by rail. Therefore, you can catch a direct train to Indore railway station. The distance between the station and the temple is 5 km.

22. Lake View Bhopal

The view of Upper Lake of Bhopal comes to life when the sun goes down and the lake reflects the city lights of Bhopal. The sunsets here are magical and along with the view of the city makes for a memorable spot. Boats sailing in the lake add to the charming sight. The place is a popular place to grab a bit of the local food varieties and is perfect if you are looking to explore local favorites. The watershed of the Upper Lake is mostly rural, with some urbanized areas around its eastern end. The Kolans was formerly a tributary of the Halali River, but with the creation of the lake using an earthen dam and a diversion channel, the upper reach of the Kolans River and Bada Talab now drain into the Kaliasot River.

23. Maa Baglamukhi Mandir

The Bagalamukhi Temple, Nalkheda is located on the banks of the Lakhundar River, a tributary of the Narmada River, in Nalkheda, a town in the Agar Malwa district of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is dedicated to the goddess Bagalamukhi, a Devi of the Hindu religion and one of the ten Mahavidyas. She is associated with the color yellow.The unique feature of the temple is the triad, with Bagalamukhi central, and as an aspect of Parvati, between Lakshmi and Saraswati. There are also statues of Krishna, Hanuman and Bhairav at the temple.

24. Dhuandhar falls

Dhuandhar Falls is not only in Jabalpur but it is an important place of tourism in the whole of Madhya Pradesh. The shade of this fall falling from a height of 10 meters is unique. It originates from Narmada river. This picturesque episode comes out of the famous marble rocks. The Narmada River, making its way through the world-famous Marble Rocks, narrows down and then plunges in a waterfall known as Dhuandhaar. The plunge, which creates a bouncing mass of mist, is so powerful that it’s roar is heard from a far distance. 

25. Yodhasthal

Yodhasthal is basically a type of museum which has multiple military tanks and weapons which were used during the time of war. Entry tickets here are free. You won’t regret visiting this place because the amount of knowledge that you will get to know about the history of wars that took place between India and other countries is a lot. The state museum and tribal museum of Madhya Pradesh are two other museums 6 km away from Yodha Sthal. Encouraging more youngsters to commit to this profession was a significant motive of the museum.
