This April, IRCTC is coming up with a Air Tour Package to the North Eastern part of India covering the major tourist spots of Assam and Meghalaya. The six nights and seven days tour itinerary includes visit to the famous Kamakhya Devi Temple, Kaziranga National Park – famous for the one horned rhinos, Shillong – the music capital of India, Sohra (Cherrapunjee) and Dawki river. The main highlight of the tour is the Bihu Festival which commences with the new year of Assam. Itinerary
Day 01 (11.04.22) : Delhi – Guwahati
Departure from Delhi by AIR INDIA AI 889 at 09:30 hrs. Arrival at Guwahati Airport at 12:05 hrs. Transfer to Hotel. Check in at the hotel. Evening proceeds for the Sunset Cruise over Brahmaputra River.
Day 02 (12.04.22) : Guwahati – Kaziranga
Early morning visit to Maa Kamakhya Temple for Darshan. Return back to the hotel. Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to Kaziranga. Late evening arrival at Kaziranga. Check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03 (13.04.22): Kaziranga
Early mornings proceed for Jeep Safari of Kaziranga National Park. Return back to the hotel. Breakfast. Day at leisure. Evening proceed to Orchid park to witness the different varieties of orchid. Later enjoy the cultural show. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04 (14.04.22) : Kaziranga – Shillong
After breakfast, I transferred to Shillong. On arrival at Shillong to visit the Don Bosco Museum. Check in at the hotel. Evening free to explore Bara Bazar. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 05(15.04.22) : Shillong – Sohra (Cherrapunji) – Shillong
After breakfast proceed to Sohra. On arrival at Sohra visit Seven sisters fall, Duwan Sing Point, Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai caves. Enroute visit Elephant falls Return back to Shillong Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 06 (16.04.22) : Sohra – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong
After breakfast check out from the hotel. Proceed to Dawki. Enroute visit Mawlynnong village, considered to be the cleanest village in Asia and famous for its root living bridges. On arrival at Dawki enjoy a boat ride over Umngot river. Return back to shillong.Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 07 (17.04.23) : Shillong – Guwahati Airport
*After breakfast check out from the hotel. In time transfer to Guwahati Airport. Board flight at 15:55 hrs. Arrival at Delhi Airport at 18:40 hrs.
